Dick arrived at 8.30 on Friday night having been back to work for a week to find only toilets standing in the shower block as dad had ripped everything out, so he could get on with the plumbing. We hope the boys will be here in the next few weeks to refit the shower block and it should all be finished by the end of February. Mum and Uncle John have nearly finished the hole for reception today and dad and I took all the rubbish to the tip. We had deer in the field at the back again this morning. Thats 3 days in a row. Had some snow yesterday but it has all gone today. We have had some enquiries this week, now all we need is some bookings! Sapper (the dog) seems to be settling in fine, loving all the open space.

ReplyDeleteyou asked if there was anything could be added to Achindarroch to make it better. Well I think the site's got pretty much everything sorted and you seem to be fixing the 15 second shower thing, so that's good. The only other thing I could suggest would be an automatic light in the toilets. Seen this in Invernahavon campsite and thought it was quite a cool feature and also saved energy! No more leaving wee signs or worrying about someone leaving the light on in the middle of the night! Also maybe it needs a Midge zapper in the toilets? I got eaten alive last July in Achindarroch - they loved me!!

Thanks for the info, We will look into the points you have raised and eventually hope to implement them. We are concentrating on the new showers at the mo. Look forward to meeting you.
